Further information about our 6mph Mobility Scooters
Generally, these scooters have a speed setting which can reduce the maximum speed down to 4mph for when you are in pedestrian areas such as shopping centres. Please note that our 6mph mobility scooters, although classed as road legal, are not allowed on motorways, bicycle tracks or bus/cycle lanes.
All of our 6 mph scooters come with considerable battery life and therefore can cover substantial distances on a single charge. Class 3 vehicle users do not require a driving license but should obey the Highway Code at all times. This includes complying with relevant eyesight requirements and not driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs etc.
These road legal scooters all have lights/indicators/horn/rear view mirror/rear reflectors to comply with relevant legislation. Insurance is not legally required for any powered vehicle in either category; Class 2 for pavement use or Class 3 for pavement and road use. However we do recommend that the purchaser has at least public liability insurance, covering accidental damage to other people and property. If you would like to insure your vehicle, please speak to one of our team and we would be only too happy to help as we work alongside one of the UK’s leading scooter insurance companies.
